  Se ha hablado y escrito mucho sobre las sucesivas oleadas de emigración gascona en Aragón, Cataluña y  Valencia. La mayor parte de los textos que he leído están circulando por internet  y se basan en  padrones municipales, censos de  varones franceses que mandaban realizar los gobernantes de turno cuando se producían hostilidades entre Francia y España y las partidas de bautismo que indicaban la procedencia de padres y abuelos del neonato.   La mayoría de los emigrados eran jóvenes, solteros, profesionales cualificados que se buscaban un futuro en estas tierras. The post comments how a last name from a foreign person could have been changed as it got more familiar to the rest of  the people of a little town.  My ancestor was a taylor who  settled down in  Almunia de San Juan in Huesca, Spain.  His last name could have been  Badia  but a family of  landlords in this little town  wore the surname Abadia. A small change could have been suggested  resulting that the next generation took the surname Abadia instead . In addition to a post in another Blog, with the documents below, I would like to add  my contribution to a celebration of 300 years of dedication to the Medicine of Castanera Family, currently  located in Barcelona but still proud of their roots in the small town of Binefar , Huesca, Spain. This post is related to an important document about a marriage agreement between my fourth grandparents in the Eighteenth Century. It was signed in Almunia de San Juan, Huesca, Spain. Teresa and Antonio were  both widow and widower with some children. In the document the way of heritage distribution is also explained  .
